Mark, Matt, and Frank are back in studio with a brand new episode for you all!  We wax nostalgia with talk of movies in the 1980's and run through some our favorites.  When we say run we mean it as several films are name dropped because the 1980's rocked so much we probably forgot a bunch of them!  Why the 1980's talk though?  Because Stranger Things has taken the world by storm on Netflix and we talk about the show and why you should watch it and all it's 1980's style glory!
We also give our thoughts on the latest entry in the DC Film's Universe that is Suicide Squad.  Did we agree with all the critics out there that tore the film apart or did we think it was a little better than that low rating it has on that tomato website?  Listen and we tell you!
We discuss the latest trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Batman: Return Of The Caped Crusaders is coming to a Blu-Ray near you and we talk about it's fantastic trailer that was released!  Listen and enjoy this fun new episode of The Rebel Radio Podcast!

The second episode of Duel Of The Nerds has finally arrived!  Mark & Long prepare to duel it out over a hot topic as Star Trek Beyond hits theaters.  Which crew is the best?  Shatner's classic crew that began their journey in 1966 or Chris Pine's new and more modern crew from the current reboot series?  Long takes on the side of Shatner while Mark defends Pine and his crew with less history on their side!  It's a sci-fi clash that could get ugly as the nerds duel it out!
Ed. Note: This episode was recorded prior to the death of actor Anton Yelchin.  May he live long and prosper among the stars.

The crew is back in studio as we have a couple of major anniversaries to discuss!  First up is the 25th anniversary of the modern classic, Terminator 2: Judgement Day.  Mark, Frank, and Matt discuss the film, their favorite scenes, what it means to Terminator as a franchise and where should Terminator go if the franchise continues on.  1991 seemed like just yesterday but here we are 25 years later discussing the classic sci-fi action film!
Then we move on to another franchise that is celebrating 50 years since making it's debut on television.  That is of course Star Trek as we discuss the popular space franchise round table style just talking about our favorite movies, moments, captains and more as Star Trek turns 50 this year and we wait for the new film in theaters.  We also discuss Star Trek's cultural impact and more as the franchise continues to boldly go where no man has gone before in it's adventures.
We then discuss some news briefs such as the trailer for season 3 of Star Wars Rebels and more in this space saga filled episode of The Rebel Radio Podcast!

Monday Apr 25, 2016

The Rebel Radio Crew is back in studio bringing you an episode full of laughter, sadness, adorability (yes it's a word), and more!  We start the show with some back stroking going on as we discuss the week in Houston and the wrath of the floods we faced.  We then talk about the passing of the legend that is Prince and our thoughts on his place in pop culture and what we remembered about him as the world mourns the lose of a great one.  We turn those frowns upside down though as we let you hear Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam and his daughter Harper cover the 1966 Batman theme song.  It's so cute that you will be grinning from ear to ear after hearing it.
It's time to get ready for Captain America: Civil War as in this first part of our preparation we take a look at Spider-Man on television and film and his long journey from the small screen, to the big screen, and now to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  We start from his first animated appearance all the way to his homecoming in the Captain America: Civil War.  Did you know that Spider-Man almost appeared in a film fighting Doc Ock for the Fifth Force?  Yeah we don't know what that was either but it almost happened!  All this in a brand new episode we hope you enjoy!
