John Woo's classic from 1986 tells the story of two brothers, one a young new cop, the other a former gangster trying to reform his ways.As they attempt to reconcile their kinship, the triads make it difficult for former gangster Ho to get away from the former life while his younger brother Kit is torn between upholding the law and protecting his brother.  It's a emotional tale of double crosses, gangsters, and two brothers trying to find a safe future in the classic action film that spawned a genre of it's own!  We discuss John Woo's heroic blood shed classic for Mark's 2023 birthday pick, A Better Tomorrow.

The cops of Detroit are on strike and OCP continues to run the city into the ground on purpose to build their better future.  With the streets mroe than corrupt ever, even Robocop seems to have no chance.  When OCP decides to replace Murphy with a new, better version of him things go bad quickly as the new cyborg is not what they had planned!  It's robocop vs robocop in a battle to the end in 1990's sequel, Robocop 2!

When a protagonist is recruited by an organization to stop a man named Sotar, who can communicate with the future, from finding the pieces of an algorithm that can then bring a nuclear weapon through time and destroy our entire existence.  With the help of Neil he learns that inversion through time is possible and goes on a mind bending quest to stop Sotar and save the world from ultimate destruction.  Christopher Nolan directs this complex and exciting science fiction film in Tenet!

EPISODE 351: BUMBLEBEE

Bumblebee is sent to Earth by the Autobot leader Optimus Prime when Cybertron falls to the evil Decipticons.  While on Earth Bumblebee is to be the planet's guardian and keep a watchful eye until Optimus can reunite the Autobots..  But it's more than meets the eye as two Decipticons infiltrate the US military with a plan to broadcast a single to bring the rest of the evil Transformers to Earth.  It's up to Bumblebee & his human friend Charlie to hatch a plan to stop the Decipticons and keep Earth safe.  It's fun thrill ride of a movie as we discuss Bumblebee on this week's show.

EPISODE 349: SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE

Miles Morales is a young kind from Brooklyn just trying to figure out life as his parents send him to a new school.  When he is bitten by a radio active spider, and witnesses the death of his world's Spider-Man, his world begins to change as meets spider people from other universes brought here by the Kingpin as he tries to find a wormhole to bring his own family back.  As Mile discovers his new powers, adjust to his new friends, he must make a leap of faith to become the hero he needs to be to save New York City, his friends, and stop the Kingpin's plan!  It's an animated film like no other in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-verse!

EPISODE 348: LOOPER

Joe is a Looper, he works for a man from the future 30 years from now.  In that future it is impossible to dispose of the mob's dirty deeds.  By using illegal time travel they send the people they want killed back in time where they are killed instantly by a Looper.  But when someone from the future known as the Rainmaker starts closing the loops of the Loopers by sending their older selves back in time to be killed, Joe must unravel the mystery of who the future Rainmaker is while also keeping his older self from destroying everything.  Rian Johnson directs Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis, and Emily Blunt in the sci-fi thriller, Looper!
