Frank Drebin is the man for the job as he works to stop an assassination on Queen Elizabeth at a baseball game in this comedy classic.  Drebin's means aren't always conventional but he gets the job done anyway he can as he chases down the evil Vincent Ludwig as he attempts to use mind control to do dastardly deeds!  It's comedy gold in this all time classic full of hi-jinks, laughs, & some of the best comedy gags ever put on screen as we discuss The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad!

Six men.  One heist.  What went wrong?  Who ratted them out?  An amazing cast of actors come together to create memorable characters in the debut film from Quentin Tarantino in the 1992 classic, Reservoir Dogs.  We discuss the film that brought the prolific director to the big screen in this incredible debut film that almost did not get made if it wasn't for Harvey Keitel. The action explodes on screen in this modern classic!

They will steal your car in 60 seconds if you aren't looking as Nicolas Cage and Angeline Jolie star in the 2000 remake of Gone In 60 Seconds.  Memphis Raines returns home to find his little brother in trouble.  To save him, he has to boost fifty cars in one night or his little brother is toast.  Raines puts together a rag tag team to pull off the heist of a lifetime in this fun action film from the early part of this century.  We talk the film, what it does right, what it does wrong, and have some fun with the ridiculousness of it all!
We also talk the latest news including the new Avengers: Endgame trailer, Disney will make R-rated films, and discuss some of our favorite car chases in cinema that includes a couple of Mad Max films on that list!  All this & a preview of next week's featured film, Reservoir Dogs!

Ruthless gangster Al Capone is running illegal alcohol during the Prohibition Era in Chicago and igniting a war with the police and federal agents in the process.  Eliot Ness and his band of untouchables look to bring them to justice but in the process get more than they bargained for in this classic film from director Brian DePalma with an all-star cast.  Kevin Costner, Sean Connery, Andy Garcia, and Robert DeNiro light up the screen in 1987's The Untouchables as we discuss this classic!

Merry Christmas everyone & our gift to you all is our final episode of 2018!  On Christmas Day in 1993 Batman came to cinemas like he was never seen before in the animated tale, Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm!  We take a look back at this animated classic spinning off from the mega popular Batman: The Animated Series.  A series of gruesome murders in Gotham City all point to the Batman, but the Dark Knight knows there is more to this mystery than the police believe!  Mask Of The Phantasm explores a darker side to the Batman mythologies, a different side of the origins, and the emotions of doing the right thing fighting crime!  It's an instant classic that is 25 years old today!
We also discuss the new Aquaman film and friend of the show the Evil Dr. Tran has sent us a review for you to hear during the show, we also talk the Hellboy reboot trailer, discuss our favorite films this year that we have seen, and look forward to 2019 with a brief preview of the year!  We are kicking off 2019 with the unappreciated sequel, Mission Impossible 2!  See you in the New Year!

THE REBEL RADIO PODCAST EPISODE 123: SUPERMAN II

We continue our look back celebrating Superman on film as we take a look at the 1980 sequel, Superman II.  Three Kryptonian villains have escaped the Phantom Zone and look to take over the Earth.  They call out Kal-El to fight them but it seems Clark Kent is not the Superman he once was.  Superman faces his own inner turmoil of being super human or just human and continues to fight for truth, justice, and the American way in this fantastic sequel!  We also talk the director controversy on the film and look back at the Richard Lester theatrical cut and the 2006 Richard Donner cut of the movie and talk about which we like better and what might have been if Donner had finished the film as intended.  We also rank the Superman films so far and look at Superman's lasting legacy!
We also have new trailers to discuss as Captain Marvel launches with a new look trailer and we finally have the first trailer for Avengers: Endgame!  All this plus we tell you the content we have consumed in Download This, and preview our next movie, the modern Western classic, Tombstone!
