Young Ofelia is lost in a world of war as she finds solace in the books she reads. Ruthless gangster Al Capone is running illegal alcohol during the Prohibition Era in Chicago and igniting a war with the police and federal agents in the process. Eliot Ness and his band of untouchables look to bring them to justice but in the process get more than they bargained for in this classic film from director Brian DePalma with an all-star cast. Kevin Costner, Sean Connery, Andy Garcia, and Robert DeNiro light up the screen in 1987's The Untouchables as we discuss this classic!

We look back at this favorite film of so many people, the production that went into it, it's success or lack of, the rocking Queen soundtrack, and why it's still so much fun today! Sam Jones and Max Von Sydow star in this spectacular film based on the classic comic book serials of the 1930's!

Merry Christmas everyone & our gift to you all is our final episode of 2018! On Christmas Day in 1993 Batman came to cinemas like he was never seen before in the animated tale, Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm! We take a look back at this animated classic spinning off from the mega popular Batman: The Animated Series. A series of gruesome murders in Gotham City all point to the Batman, but the Dark Knight knows there is more to this mystery than the police believe! Mask Of The Phantasm explores a darker side to the Batman mythologies, a different side of the origins, and the emotions of doing the right thing fighting crime! It's an instant classic that is 25 years old today!
We also discuss the new Aquaman film and friend of the show the Evil Dr. Tran has sent us a review for you to hear during the show, we also talk the Hellboy reboot trailer, discuss our favorite films this year that we have seen, and look forward to 2019 with a brief preview of the year! We continue our look back celebrating Superman on film as we take a look at the 1980 sequel, Superman II. Three Kryptonian villains have escaped the Phantom Zone and look to take over the Earth. They call out Kal-El to fight them but it seems Clark Kent is not the Superman he once was. Superman faces his own inner turmoil of being super human or just human and continues to fight for truth, justice, and the American way in this fantastic sequel! We also talk the director controversy on the film and look back at the Richard Lester theatrical cut and the 2006 Richard Donner cut of the movie and talk about which we like better and what might have been if Donner had finished the film as intended. We also rank the Superman films so far and look at Superman's lasting legacy!
We also have new trailers to discuss as Captain Marvel launches with a new look trailer and we finally have the first trailer for Avengers: Endgame! All this plus we tell you the content we have consumed in Download This, and preview our next movie, the modern Western classic, Tombstone!

You will believe a man can fly! For 40 years Superman The Movie has entertained audiences and movie lovers across the world and in this episode Mark & Matt look back at this all time classic. He fights for truth, justice, & the American way as young Kal-El is sent to Earth from the dying planet Krypton. On Earth he gains amazing abilities that make him a Superman amongst humans as he fights against evil in the world and villains such as Lex Luthor! We celebrate 40 years of Superman The Movie by looking at the amazing cast performances, the score of John Williams & go behind the scenes to look at this film 40 years later in the first of a two part episode that looks at this film as well as it's sequel Superman II in next week's episode.
We also tell you what we content we absorbed in Download This, look at news including the latest on that Avengers 4 trailer, and talk about bears doing crazy things. Ride with the Bandit as we look back at the 1977 Burt Reynolds starring chase movie Smokey & The Bandit! The Bandit decides to take on a run of bootlegging alcohol because he wants the money, but also just for the fun of it. His partner Snowman and himself catch the pursuit of Sheriff Buford T. Justice who will cross state lines at nothing to bring the Bandit to justice and get his future daughter in law back. Burt Reynolds is charismatic, Sally Field is spunky & fun, Jerry Reed plays the Snowman and Jackie Gleason brings comedy to the role of Sheriff Justice as only he can! We look back at the classic Smokey & The Bandit and pay tribute to the great Burt Reynolds!
We also discuss The Christmas Chronicles now on Netflix & enjoy Kurt Russel as Santa Clause immensely! Also the latest news including Keanu Reeves in Toy Story 4, live action The Lion King & more! We then preview our next episode as we get ready to look back at 40 years of Superman: The Movie!

Welcome true believers to a very special episode of the show! We pay our respects and tribute to the man who has brought so much to our lives. The world lost a legend this week when Stan Lee left us at 95 years of age but has left behind a legacy that has touched the lives of us and so many throughout the world. We take a look at the creations he has given us in the Marvel Universe and what he means to us. We share our own Stan Lee memories, as well as talk about our favorite cameos from his films. We look at the film legacy that is Spider-Man, one of Lee's favorite characters and rank the Spider-Man films so far! The world will always be a little more sensational, amazing, uncanny, and incredible thanks to Stan Lee as we look back on the life of the inspiring creator known as Stan "The Man" Lee! Excelsior!
